SSD FAQ

Q: How soon do I need to seek legal counsel for disability or an injury?

A: It is advisable to contact an attorney immediately before either speaking to the Social Security Administration or Insurance Company. The Social Security Administration and Insurance Companies are very skilled at what they do and you need to be on an equal playing field, which an attorney can provide.

Q: How do I apply for Social Security Disability and Supplemental Security Income?

A: We can handle the process electronically from our office from the initial application all the way through the appeal's process.

Q: What is the difference between Social Security Disability (SSDI) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI)?

A: SSDI is an entitlement you have earned by working a sufficient number of quarters (20 out of 40 preceding the onset of disability). SSI is a needs based program that is not dependant upon having worked enough quarters, but rather being impoverished and unable to work.

Q: How much will it cost me for attorney's fees?

A: Our fees are a percentage of and contingent upon either a successful recovery or award.
